New Patients

We are always happy to accept new patients. We understand that you and your situation are unique and we will make customized treatment recommendations based upon your needs

For many patients, this will be your first experience with your types of services. But for others, maybe you have seen your family physician, dentist, neurologist, ENT, pulmonologist, chiropractor or a variety of health professionals seeking answers to your pain or sleep disturbances.

*Please note we DO NOT provide any other types of dental services*

Your First Appointment

Most patients will undergo a comprehensive battery of records and evaluation. Because we have found there to be a relationship that exists between sleeping, TMJ disorders, and migraines. We evaluate all of these at the initial consultation. Plan on an hour and ½ for this appointment.

Diagnostic Record Collection

-3D x-ray: This is our greatest diagnostic tool. With it we can evaluate the joints, the airway, skeletal imbalances, nasal deviations and soft tissue abnormalities of the midface and throat.

Range of Motion (ROM) test: to determine if there are muscular limitations to the movement of the head and neck.

Determines where teeth make contact when biting

-Tek-Scan Bite Analysis: A comprehensive test that uses sensors to determine if the teeth fit together properly when a person bites

-EMG Analysis: Used in coordination with the T-Scan to show how the muscles are functioning when a person bites down.

-Digital Scan: Our in the mouth sensor will capture your teeth and bite digitally so an oral appliance can be fabricated.

Additional Services

-Bruxism/Grinding/Clenching guard: A special mouthpiece a person wears usually at night to reduce the oral effects of grinding or clenching their teeth. This is used for individuals who don’t have TMD or headaches.

-White Spot Reduction: An adjunct cosmetic treatment applied to teeth to reduce or eliminate white spots following orthodontics or congenital formation.

-Tongue Thrust Therapy: Done Primarily in children where a special mouthpiece is used with bonded tongue correctors.

-Thumb habit correction: a cemented or removable habit corrector is connected to the teeth. Typically stays in place about 6 months

-Athletic Mouth Guards: Our mouth guards are custom designed and can be made in a variety of colors. They can also include a name, number, or logo/emblem if supplied.
